ISM Communications Corporation (ISMCC) was, originally, a mining company incorporated under the name “Itogon-Suyoc Mines, Inc.”. In June 7, 2002 the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the change in corporate name of the Company to “ISM Communications Corporation” whose primary purpose is to engage in the business of telecommunications, multimedia and information technology.

 

In 2005, ISMCC acquired 57.69% of Eastern Telecommunications Philippines Inc. (ETPI) the oldest existing telecommunications provider in the Philippines. ISMCC continued to increase its stake in ETPI and now owns 77.69% of the outstanding shares of the company.

 

In January 2010, ISMCC together with its affiliate PhilWeb Corporation, purchased 65% of Acentic Gmbh, a German-based digital entertainment system provider to the hospitality industry.
